“Fake News” – this is one term that I think burned quick and burned out. I think you will here it thrown around occasionally, but for the most part will be scarce until the next election cycle.
Globalism and Nationalism – A continued struggle and conflict as other world leaders compete in their elections.
Journalism – mainstream journalism slides further into it’s activism role. And, without apologies.
Twitter – will remain relevant thanks to Trump.
Trump – can anyone really predict this guy?
Trump and Putin – Not enough room at the top for two. Cold War 2 in HD.
Gender pronouns – unfortunately, this will be a thing.
The economy – please, someone give me an accurate prediction of this!
Mariah Carey – outlook not so good.
I think WSJ has a good article on future trends regarding globalism as an ideology (2017 and beyond). It’s no longer about traditional left vs. right but globalism vs nationalism.
