Evil Alternate Universe: Giuliani Would Make a Good Secretary of State

This article first appeared at www.yourpropagandareport.com.

Republican National Convention: Day OneThe prospect of Giuliani being Secretary of State is, horrifically, not dead. I’m no fan of Romney–he is obviously a play-actor who comes off like the gentlest guy in the world but is fully immersed in the Deep State, from his family’s decades-long involvement in politics to his clearly staged ranting about Trump, this guy is likely a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Giuliani, on the other hand, is a wolf in wolf’s clothing, and that’s the absolute worst thing you could have in the country’s top diplomat. Would you want this guy as the last barrier between the United States and war?

An article in The Wall Street Journal today presents the problem with Giuliani’s candidacy as having potential for cronyism and conflicts of interest–no doubt a very real risk, as we’ve seen before–but the potential for World War III on this guy’s watch is a far greater risk.

Rudy Giuliani Lobbies to Be Secretary of State
Former New York City mayor says his experience makes him uniquely qualified

After leaving the mayoral office in 2001, Mr. Giuliani founded Giuliani Partners, a management-consulting and security firm that advises companies and foreign governments on policing, security planning and counterterrorism….

Mr. Giuliani has been an outspoken proponent of regime change in Iran and scrapping the nuclear accord reached with Tehran last year. He has regularly appeared at events supporting an Iranian opposition group, called the Mujahedin-e Khalq, which the U.S. State Department designated as a terrorist organization from 1997 through 2012. His speaking fees for those events ranged from $25,000 to $40,000….

Mr. Giuliani said those concerns were unfounded and unfair. He said “90%” of the work undertaken by the firm is done on behalf of companies, not governments. “I don’t even know how to peddle influence,” he said.

Turkey Explained

Why do I not believe the conspiracy theory that Erdogan organized the July 15, 2016, coup? Because months before I had heard Sibel Edmonds tell the who, why & how of Erdogan in the crosshairs. Prescient then, timely now…Sibel Edmonds with James Corbett December 2015. (At the end of the video, Sibel talks about her new project, newsbud–true independent media–check it out here.)

The Propaganda Report: Coercive Engineered Migration Qaddafi-Style

311235_402302646502911_892774958_n

Last year I added a glossary entry “coercive engineered migration” about a phenomenon described in Kelly Greenhill’s book, Weapons of Mass Migration, in which she uses as her best example Qaddafi threatening Europe with uncontrolled migration from Africa if they didn’t comply with his demands.

The theory behind coercive engineered migration is that relatively weak foreign rulers can effect policy change in democratic Western countries by forcing politicians to make a choice: either capitulate to their demands or be faced with a choice to either accept a flood of migrants or to refuse migrants and expose your country and its citizens as hypocrites. It was a very effective tactic and now, having bombed Libya into the stone age and set up Qaddafi to be killed, the West is using his tactic against its own people.

From charging European countries exorbitant fines upward of $300,000 per migrant refused, to threatening uncontrolled African migration if Libya is not taken in hand, the ruling elite of the EU and the US are, by hook or by crook, getting Europe to consent to participating in the military conquest of the Middle East.

Here is today’s propaganda from The Wall Street Journal: Arm our version of a government in Libya or be overrun…

U.S. and Others Open to Arming Libyan Government
Secretary of State John Kerry and top diplomats meet in Vienna to discuss anti-Islamic State measures

The Vienna meeting was co-chaired by Italy, Libya’s former colonial ruler, which is concerned about the country’s stability because of the threat of uncontrolled migration. Libya’s Mediterranean coast is a main departure point for migrants to southern Europe.

My distinction between recognizing the free exercise of the rights to work and travel and calling out coercive engineered migration has drawn some fire from libertarians, and I understand why, but one of my arguments for resisting this tactic is that the more effective it is the more it gives the powers that be–and even the powers that wanna-be–an incentive to continue to use it by destabilizing regimes from within through radical Islamic fifth columns and economic destabilization and without through mercenaries and military action.

To me, it is an inescapable conclusion that radical Islam and the migrant crisis are tools being used by the global military industrial complex for the subjugation of the Middle East. What else would explain the West’s policy of toppling secular Arab strongmen who kept radical Islam in check? The pattern is undeniable, from Qaddafi to Hussein to Assad in recent memory, to the mid-Twentieth century regime changes of the secular governments of Iran and Afghanistan. (Am I missing any? Oh yeah–using the Muslim Brotherhood against Nasser in Egypt and against Assad père in Homs, though those attempts at regime change were unsuccessful.)

Above is a picture of the two suspects. I had seen another picture of the woman in which she looked westernized as in this one. Since then, however, all pictures show her looking scarier and scarier and more and more foreign. But the most disturbing picture I have seen so far–and be forewarned, it’s VERY disturbing–is a picture of the male suspect shot dead. The picture is disturbing not only because of the bloody gruesomeness of the scene, but also because the dead man’s hands and feet look to be bound. How could that be? If he was bound, why did they shoot him? If he was dead (and clearly he was killed with a headshot), why bind his hands and feet? Here is the picture if you want to see it. Again, be warned, it’s shocking. (It came from the UK Daily Mail, but I found it here.)

* Note that at the end of the first hour, I fell for a canard…that people on the terrorist watchlist or no fly list should be denied the right to bear arms…thankfully I realized my mistake (and furthermore, was corrected by the next caller!) — those lists do not allow you the right to defend yourself and can therefore be used for political purposes. One always has to have one’s guard up, doesn’t one?! Here’s an article on the subject from a website I like…

[UPDATE: I just saw a new article in the WSJ about denying gun rights to those on the no-fly list…this kind of coincidence–that an issue that is on the A-list agenda in the mainstream media is also the subject of a tricky call I get on the subject–makes my “troll-dar” ping!]
